Christmas

I definitely love this time of year and it is such a blessing to have a wonderful growing family, and extended family, to celebrate it with. The kids are the offical cookie decorators and as usual, they did a great job (even Kyle!;)

I have to ask myself repeatedly WHAT in the world I was thinking in letting Nick get that hideous creepy thing Kyle is holding for his father!! Every time I see it, it gives me the chills! The worst part is that it is a remote control creature that scurries across the floor very quickly with red eyes! :O Sooo not my fault if it mysteriously disappears one day!!
Ron and I getting ready for our first hosting of Christmas dinner this year and it was fun having extended family over for it.

After dinner we enjoyed Christmas evening at Grandma's with desserts and family. I love how the group keeps growing each year with all the new babies, and next Christmas my grandson will be here too! Unfortunately, we once again failed to get a group shot though - next year!

Nick alwasys seems to end up with Legos when he is with the little kids - it's adorable and he will make a great uncle for sure!!

Snow

We have a hawk that spends quite a bit of time on our pool deck waiting to get a bird or a squirrel. I didn't think they would come so close to a house, but he does!!

Well we got our first 'big' snow of the season! I know it's not as bad as Uncle Bob is getting in Boston, but it's a start for us. So glad I have the boys to dig us out, I would hate to see Ron do it all on his own!! =)

Nick's 17!!

No matter how old they get they are still nothing but big kids!! Anton and Nick enjoyed some Legos on Thanksgiving and the boys put lights up the day after. They were fortunate to have somewhat decent weather and no one fell off the roof!!

I can't belive that Nick is now 17!! Man have the years flown by. Christie adorned her brother in her winter garb, but he wore it well!!

We celebrated his birthday by going downtown to ESPN Zone. We ate and then they played video games. It was a beautiful night to be downtown though it was a bit cold, but not as bad as it could have been.

Scary night!

Christie was involved in a car accident Saturday night and was hit by the car behind her when she slid on ice while driving the expressway. We are so thankful that she was not hurt! She was taken to the hospital though due to her pregnancy and she and the baby were monitored for several hours to make sure she wasn't going to go into labor due to the impact

and stress of the accident.

6 months!

Christie will be six months pregnant next week and I can't believe how fast it is going! We can't wait to meet our grandson =)

She is definitely getting bigger and it will be fun to see her huge! (for us, not her;)

Pumpkin time

Kyle and Sara brought home some pumpkins so we had some fun carving them - Ron still has to do his though, but he's got a few days before Halloween.

It's a Boy!!

Christie had an ultrasound and they are having a boy! They are very excited and can't wait. A Grandson - how fun will that be!! Having a boy will even out the great-grandbabies to 3-3, well for now anyway =)

Summer bdays

Nick got a tattoo on Grandpa's birthday in memory of him - he misses him dearly, as we all do.

We had our annual combined summer birthday parties here last month and it went well. The weather was rainy which unfortunately kept us inside and out of the pool, but there's always next year :) Here is Gma with her great-grandbabies, I can't believe how big they are all getting! Next year she will have a sixth one too! (and maybe one on the way hmmm giirrrrllls?? one of ya.... huh, anyone?? ;P)

Ky turned 21 this year too which is amazing to me, my baby's all grown up!

Just some random shots of the party - no Ron didn't attend the party in his jammies, he was grill man and was soaked by the time he got done cooking due to the rain so had to change and opted for comfort over style.

Well my son did it again! He once again ended up in a cast this time with a small break in his ankle - it knocked him out of fall baseball at school, but we are hoping he can stay out of any further casts from here on out! At least he has 4 months before training starts for spring baseball to pull his body together!

The Kids

Christie 22, Kyle 21 and Nick 16

Well I can't believe that my baby girl is now married... where in the world has the time gone?! Let me tell all you mom's with small kids - time goes extremely fast and your kids are married and gone before you know it!

She and her hubby Tony were married on 07/07/07 and they are now living in Naperville. They had a lovely ceremony held in a historical chapel in Yorkville. The ceremony was beautiful and performed by her Uncle Bob and he did a wonderful job!!

Kyle has been working where his dad does for over a year now and is enjoying it. He will be transferring to a new division this fall and is looking forward to the new challenge.

He and his girlfriend Sara spent a week in Florida this summer and despite the intense heat had a great time. He is a busy guy with working fulltime and having a steady girlfriend, but he always manages to help us out around here whenever needed which is such a blessing!

Nick is going to be a Junior this year and will be 17 in a few months - I so can't believe that! Grandma always told me that the high school years go by the fastest and she wasn't kidding - I can't believe that I have two out of school and he only has one more year of school after this one. =O

He made the summer high school baseball team but wasn't able to play much due to his elbow - he is still having problems since his break last year. He is hoping that he is ready for next spring to make the varsity team.

He is currently unemployed but is planning on getting a job here soon - as a driving teen he is learning how money is sooo necessary to put gas in a car!!

25+ Years!!

Wow, I can't believe it has been over 25 years since Ron and I have said I-do! Time has truly flown for sure. We have had good times as well as bad, but I am thankful for all we have been through and that we still have eachother. I look forward to what life may bring us next...I think!! =P

Greetings!!

As Ron and I are entering this stage of our lives, our family unit is changing and it is a wonderful thing - it is neat how our family of five is growing and bringing in more members and more love!
